About

Background

Born and raised in a middle-class household in the city of Chittagong, Bangladesh, I quickly learned the impact that technology had on people's daily lives. I grew up without many toys and much technology except an old tv so it's no wonder that I became fascinated with technology. I was always curious about how computers worked- how we were able to take electricity and convert it into something we can visually see on a screen. This curiosity of mine drove me to pursue a career in computer engineering.

Education

I'm currently a junior at the Grove School of Engineering at The City College of New York, CUNY, and a software engineering fellow at the CUNY Tech Prep program. I'm pursuing a Bachelor of Engineering degree in Computer Engineering. I'm also a proud alumni of Brooklyn Technical High School.

Technology Stack

I'm most familiar with the following languages: HTML, CSS, Python, Django, Ruby on Rails, and Java. I also have some experience in mobile development with Java for Android and Swift for iOS. I'm also currently working on learning technologies such as React, Node + Express, and PostgreSQL as well as industry best practices for design, implementation, and deployments such as MVC, version control with Git/GitHub, agile & Scrum with Trello and Slack, test-driven development, and CI/CD.

Hobbies

On my spare time, I like to immerse myself in the creative media and try my hands on photography and videography. I like to take portraits and landscapes when I have the chance and I also have some experience filming short films. I use software such as Adobe Lightroom for photo editing and Final Cut Pro X for video editing.
